THE FOOD

From the cafe and brasserie culture found on the streets of Paris, to the home-style cooking of the french countryside, the Sottise menu is our homage to French classics. Our bar and wine program led a lot of the inspiration, tying in flavors such as the calvados honey featured in our baked camembert, or the Winemakers’ Sundae utilizing raisins, grappa, and tons of beautiful aromatics. We are cooking with armagnac, calvados, cognac, wine and other substantial flavors to meld traditional French flavors with our culinary point of view, and we’re utilizing Old World techniques such as curing, fermenting and pickling to build those flavors.

 THE WINE & COCKTAILS

Our wine list features roughly 100 bottles inspired by an immersion in the world of French wine. The bottles selected represent both bold and approachable wines that novices and traditionalists alike can appreciate.

The greater cocktail list offers an avante-garde selection of both light easy-drinkers, as well as, extremely technical boozy sippers. We’re excited to mix both unique French Spirits and our modern American techniques to create French staples and unorthodox amalgamations.

We pair these on the menu with a rotating selection of classic cocktails — done the Sottise way, of course. We’ll take you all across the globe from the Old World to Europe and even to the the irresistible flavors of the Caribbean. Think Rum, Gin or Champagne done in the classic styles that Hemingway himself both inspired and imbibed in.
